This Sunday Brother Calister, the Sunday School General President, visited our ward along with Elder Meurs from the 70! It was pretty cool to get to see them so close. They were here to give training on the new "Come, Follow Me" Sunday School lessons for next year. They spoke in our ward and also had a big devotional with all the members throughout the country. They said that Thailand has some of the best teacher councils that they've seen throughout the world! Pretty cool! Brother Calister said something in Sacrament meeting on Sunday which I thought was cool. He said something along the lines of "the desire to be a good person is a fruit of the Spirit" Just the desire to be a good person comes from the Spirit. It's a common struggle to wonder if you're feeling the Spirit, but just wanting to be better shows that you are feeling the Spirit!
This week we taught one investigator named Sister Bang, she is the same one who had the cool miracle with the Plan of Salvation paper I drew. We taught her over video call because it was easier for her. We got to see inside her house for the first time and it turns out to be a coffee shop. We planned to teach the Word of Wisdom this lesson so I guess perfect timing! She loves drinking coffee and thought we were joking with her when we told her she can't drink coffee anymore. She has incredible faith though and promised to stop drinking it right away! She also always recognizes when she is being blessed from God which is a great example and something I think I can improve on.
Other highlights from the week:
-Brother Game got the Aaronic Priesthood and passed the Sacrament for the first time on Sunday!
- In English class we asked the students what super power they would have and he answered "The power of God so I can help other people"
-We had a man call us and tell us he wanted to learn about Christianity then he told us to give him some money. After we told him we couldn't he started calling us racial slurs but then apologized after we told him we were hanging up. Then he called back with a different phone number and said it was a different person. After we told him we couldn't give him money, again, he started throwing out more threats. He called several times over the next couple days and kept saying it was a different person.
-We got transfer calls this week and both I and Elder Theobald are staying in Don Mueang. Super stoked! We also are adding a new companionship in our area and splitting our district into 2 so that should be fun!
-We helped the sisters move apartments
Love you all so much! Thanks for all your prayers!
