My first week in Don Muaeng was great! the people are amazing here and I'm excited to get to work with them more! It has been really cool being around my old area and going to the same church building. Lots of people remembered me and it's really great to be back.
A cool miracle we saw this week is from one of our investigators named Brother Go. He is from one of the northern mountain tribes in Thailand so he speaks a different dialect of Thai that we don't know, but he speaks Thai too. He walked into the church a few weeks ago because he just moved here and wants to go to a church. He has so much faith! We were able to teach him the Plan of Salvation and he accepted a baptismal date for a few weeks! He is super, super cool.
We have got a lot of great investigators and people to teach so I'm really excited to be in this area. Elder Theobald is so awesome too! We get along really well. We've always joked about being companions but when we actually were it was surprising! He will go home in December so hopefully we'll be companions until then. I'm learning a bunch from him! He's from Arizona and he's a swimmer. He's super funny too. We're having a blast! He also is really good at working out so I'll get in better shape too! All the members that I served with in Pakkret say I look skinnier too! Nobody calling me fat anymore! #success
Don Mueang is pretty different from Phuket. The ward is really big and it has a big church. The Thailand Area 70 also lives in our area so it will be cool to work with him. Transferring is always hard leaving an area but coming to a new area is fun too.
One thing I really enjoyed from my personal study is in Mormon 9 which talks a lot about how God is a God of miracles yesterday, today, and forever. I know God blesses us with miracles every day when we look for the ways He blesses us and when we thank Him for those blessings.
