This week one of our investigators, Brother Game, was baptized! He was so excited to be baptized! He has gone through some difficult things in his life and has really been feeling some dark influences in his life that he did not want. He knew baptism was the way to get rid of those things and show he has truly repented. He was super excited all week especially when he passed his baptismal interview! He brought a friend to watch his baptism who wants to learn more about Jesus too!
We got to watch Conference this week in Thai with the members of our ward. It was really good but still a little hard to understand fully in Thai. I went back and rad President Nelson's talk and I think that was my favorite from General Conference. I loved how he said "in this crucial matter, we look to Him whose Church this is and acknowledge that the Lord’s ways are not, and never will be, man’s ways." The things we do as a Church are becoming more and more different from the ways of the world but it makes me proud to be able to stand up for the Savior and the standards He has set.
This week we met a drunk guy while on our way to an appointment. He randomly just requested that I take a picture with him so we got this beauty (See below). There was a little kid running around him and everyone around told the kid to drink some of the Pepsi cause he was thirsty. He starting drinking the Pepsi bottle but it turned out to be a bottle of whisky so we watched this little kid take a big gulp of whisky on accident. It was pretty sad and everyone felt really bad. Guess they shouldn't have been drinking whisky in the first place!
Love you all and hope you have a great week!
