WEEK 62 - SEPTEMBER 19, 201 - PHUKET

Another great week in Phuket and it will actually be my last week here! I've been transferred to Don Mueang. I will miss Phuket so much! I love the people here and am so grateful for the chance I had to help this area start off on the right foot! Don Mueang is actually right next to my last area and they're in the same district so I'll get to see a lot of the people I taught before.

This week I have been interested in some responses from our investigators to questions we ask. I have always known that the Plan of Salvation is a perfect plan that leads to us being the happiest we can possibly be and it allows us to be with our families. After teaching one investigator about the Plan he told us he simply does not want to go to heaven and be happy. He does not want to live with his family and he would rather just evolve into nothing at the end of his life. This is not a depressed man and he has a loving family so it really confused me why he would reject such an amazing plan. These people need the gospel so badly, but it's sad when they don't accept it.

I've been reading the new church history book called "Saints" and it is so good. I highly recommend it to anyone! It makes me so grateful for the sacrifices made by the early leaders and members of the church. The struggles they went through seem so difficult. It makes me proud to be able to stand with them in sharing the message of the restoration.

This Sunday Sister Athena was confirmed a member and received the Gift of the Holy Ghost so that was great! Her faith is amazing! Teaching her has been such a great opportunity. It will be really hard to leave this area and all the great members here.

The story of the sea gypsies just keeps on going! We actually found the sea gypsy village one day this week and began inviting there. It turns out that a large percentage of the sea gypsies are already Christian and they are very humble people! We were able to sit down and talk to a few people there and I know more miracles will come from there as we keep searching.

Thai name of the week: Pinky

Love you all! Keep on sharing the gospel with everyone you can! Shall we not go on in so great a cause?
