I hope you all are having a great Christmas season! We had another great week! We have some great investigators and have been getting some great new ones too!
We visited a less active member of our branch this week at his work. He told us how he feels really stressed out in his life. He told us about how all his goals are temporal and he feels lonely sometimes. It was really sad to see him feel like that. We promised him that if he came to church he would feel welcomed and feel peace. We also challenged him to make the temple his goal. As church began on Sunday we didn't see him. As we began singing the Sacrament Hymn he walked in, coming strait from work! I was so happy to see him! After the meeting ended all the members flocked to him and talked about how happy they were to see him! I know he felt of God's love and I know he felt welcomed!
We found a new investigator named Lek. He was just sitting in front of his house by himself. He was super skinny and smelled like he had been drinking a lot. We shared our message and he told us about how he felt so lonely. His kids were grown up and living far away. We told him about how we're never alone because we have a Heavenly Father who loves each of us! He accepted our invitation to pray and gave a nice prayer and said we could come back and visit him again. Both of these experiences made me so grateful for my knowledge of the gospel and how it gives direction and purpose in my life.
We saw two white girls and they yelled hello to us so we talked tot hem for a second. Believe it or not they were from Salt Lake City, Utah and were clearly not members and wanted nothing to do with our message but it was cool to talk in English to some people for a second!
I have really enjoyed the opportunity I've had to study the Savior and focus on the real meaning of Christmas. Lately I've been pondering what taking the name of Christ upon us actually means. I have truly enjoyed wearing Christ's name on my chest everyday and teaching of Him to everyone I can!
